/Text: 1 Corinthians 12:12-31 /Preacher: Pastor Oh Dae-sik 12 For the body is one, and it has many members; and just as the members of the body, though many, are one body, so is Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and we were all given one Spirit to drink. 14 For the body is not one member, but many. 15 If the foot says, “I am not a hand, so it does not belong to the body,” it is not by this that it does not belong to the body. 16 If the ear says, “I am not an eye, so it does not belong to the body,” it is not by this that it does not belong to the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were a hearing place, where would the smell be? 18 But now God has placed the members in the body, each as he desired. 19 If all were one member, where would the body be? 20 Now the members are many, but the body is one. 21 The eye will not say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor the head will say to the foot, “I have no need of you.” It cannot be said that there is no place. 22 Not only that, but the parts of the body that seem weaker are actually in need. 23 We clothe those parts of the body that are less honorable with greater honor, and our unattractive parts are given greater honor. Therefore, 24 our beautiful parts do not need this. But God has arranged the body so that to the parts that are lacking, he has increased honor, 25 so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. 27 You are the body of Christ, and each of you is a part of it. 28 God has appointed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then those who work miracles, then those who have gifts of healing, helping, governing, and speaking in various tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all those who work miracles? 30 Are all those who have gifts of healing? Are all those who speak in tongues Will it be the interpreter? Will it be the interpreter? 31 But you desire the greater gifts. And I will show you the most excellent way.
