I built a stone house alone in the forest using only primitive tools and my own hands — walls from rock, roof from timber, and everything inside made from scratch. I sourced the stone from the land around me and laid every course by hand — no mortar mixer, no level, just dry-laid fieldstone fitted tight enough to hold. The walls went up slowly and solidly.
