John Kiffmeyer: “We recorded our demo tape, but we never released a demo tape, because… yeah. … he’s (engineer Marshall Stax) a great guy”. Billie Joe wrote ‘Stay’ for a film that his brother was making. The song was often called ‘World vs World’ by fans before the real title was confirmed by John Kiffmeyer. The recording of ‘Sweet Children’ was officially released on the Turn It Around soundtrack. 1-2-3-4 Go! Records: “One of our personal favorite additions to the (Turn It Around) soundtrack is a song from Sweet Children’s first demo tape. This recording has never been released and it was this recording that Billie pestered Tim Yo to listen to so they could play at Gilman for the first time!”
