Coordinating Minister AHY inspected the construction of the Musi V Bridge, which is part of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road. This toll road is a vital and strategic segment designed to alleviate traffic bottlenecks. The journey from Palembang to Betung, which normally takes up to four hours, will now be reduced to just one hour. Prior to use, the bridge will be tested in accordance with procedures by experts and is targeted to be operational in time for the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming season. AHY confirmed that the project's development relates to interregional connectivity to unlock economic potential, coordinates land status, and preserves/repairs the road sections that serve as the backbone of the mobility of people, goods, and services, particularly in South Sumatra and across Sumatra.
