Present perfect in German language uses haben or sein as helping verb. Conjugation of haben or sein verb is done according to the subject of the sentence. Subject of sentence in German language is always nominative case and in present perfect in German language subject of sentence usually comes at the first place. This video also explains the sentence structure of present perfect in German language. As first place is occupied by the subject of sentence, at second position we have to select between haben or sein verb in German language. The selection of haben or sein verb depends on the certain scanrios and all the scanerios relevant at A1 level of German language course for beginners are discussed in this video. At the third position in the present perfect in German language there could be preposition, adverb, direct object etc. The last position in present perfect in German language is dedicated for the perfect form of the verb. Perfect form of verb is also called partizip II in German language. So this is how the sentence structure of present perfect in German language looks like. The selection of haben or sein verb in present perfect in German language depends on the main verb of the sentence. If main verb is reflixive verbs then we use haben in German perfect and we conjugate haben according to the subject of sentence. Similarly all verbs that require a direct object or accusative object use haben in German perfect and haben is conjugated according to the subject of sentence. There are certain verbs in German language which have movement like gehen, kommen. All such verbs take sein as helping verb in present perfect in German language. Similarly there are some verbs which express a change of state. All such verbs also take sein as helping verb in present perfect in German language. Apart from this there are certain specific verbs or expections where there is neither movement in sentence nor change of state but still we use sein in present perfect in German language. These verbs are also discussed in the video. In the beginning of German language there could be difficulty in the use of haben or sein in perfect in German language. With the examples and practice the use of haben or verb can be mastered in present perfect in German language.
