This card had a lot of entertaining fights, but unfortunately the main event ended in the worst possible way. I break down every fight on the card, talk about where my picks were right (and wrong), and then get into the bigger conversation surrounding Conor McGregor. Here's where I land: injuries happen. Fighters compete hurt all the time. What I'm not buying anymore is the endless comeback narrative. At some point, you have to stop telling us you're back and actually show us inside the Octagon. I also talk about why fans seem to celebrate fighters competing injured when they win—but feel cheated when they lose. That's a double standard we've had in MMA for years, and I think it's worth discussing.
