Best known as one of the guitarists and founders of the band Charlie Brown Jr. He was part of the group's original lineup from its founding in 1992, along with Chorão and Champignon. As the band's composer, he produced hits such as "O Côro Vai Comê," "Proibida pra Mim," "Tudo Que Ela Gosta de Escutar," "Quinta-Feira," "Gimme o Anel," among others, contributing significantly to their success and recording nine albums and four DVDs with the band. The classic lineup of Charlie Brown Jr. emerged in 1995 when he recommended two friends, drummer Renato Pelado, who was his partner in another band, and guitarist Thiago Castanho to join the Santos-based group. Together with his partners Chorão and Champignon, this formed what would become known as the band's classic lineup. In March 2013, following Chorão's death, the remaining members of Charlie Brown Jr. formed the band A Banca. In November 2014, Marcão announced the formation of his new band, Bula, along with Lena Papini (formerly of A Banca) and André Pinguim (formerly of Charlie Brown Jr.). Right from their debut, Bula was invited to participate in Lollapalooza in 2015 and Rock in Rio in the same year. In April 2022, together with Thiago Castanho, they announced a tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of Charlie Brown Jr., which continues to this day.
