E6B Find Calibrated Airspeed (CAS) True Airspeed (TAS) from PA & OAT: FAA Instrument Knowledge Test

*Special thanks to Mesh Education Services (www.meshcompaniesllc.com) who provided the E6B demonstration footage. This video is based on a mini-tutorial interactive course created originally by our friends at Mesh! Check them out for educational services and content assistance.* This video will help you with how to quickly use a manual flight computer, sometimes called an E6B, to solve FAA Instrument Knowledge Test scenario questions. This device lets you quickly use pressure altitude (PA) and outside air temperature (OAT) and a given true airspeed (TAS) to find the equivalent calibrated airspeed (CAS). Check out my other videos especially the ones about how to quickly draw holding patterns, how flight instruments work, and how to calculate your instrument currency. Visit my website at www.theaviationvault.com to learn much more about aircraft dispatchers, airlines, and dispatch history! Learn more about LeTourneau University's aviation program at www.letu.edu/fly or about our all-online Aviation Studies degree program at http://bit.ly/AviationOnline. Always remember that Laura, when you get right down to it, is just a pilot and a dispatcher. She is explaining facts from the source materials but may be incorrect or out of date. You should always follow your primary guidance (Aircraft manuals, government regulations, etc.) before listening to anything from this YouTube channel.
