America Built a German Town… So I Had to See It

I traveled to Seattle, Washington for the first time as a German living in America — and the trip ended with one of the funniest surprises: America built a German-style town in the mountains. We started in Seattle with farmers markets, fresh salmon, Snow Lake, downtown Seattle, the Space Needle, whale watching, and my first American baseball game. But the biggest question came later in Leavenworth, Washington: does this Bavarian-style town actually feel like Germany? As a German, I had to test the beer, pretzels, sausages, bakeries, restaurants, and the whole town to see what feels authentic… and what feels very American. Is Leavenworth real Bavaria, fake Bavaria, or something totally unique? What do you think — did Leavenworth get Germany right? 🇺🇸 Subscribe for more videos about America from a German perspective.
