For 25 years, Abel Castillo Juárez lived trapped by addiction. Alcohol, tobacco, bad company, and a life spent in bars and cantinas caused him to lose jobs, friends, family relationships, and even led him to sleep on the streets. Desperately seeking a way out, he even consulted with healers, hoping to find a way to break free from his vices, but nothing could set him free. Although many people spoke to him about God and tried to help him, Abel continued to feel chained to the life that was destroying him. Everything changed when he made the most important decision of his life: to give his heart to Jesus Christ. Christ did what no one else could. Abel began to distance himself from his addictions, his bad company, and the places that held him captive. He learned about the Gospel, began attending church, and on March 30, 2025, he was baptized. Today, he has been free from alcoholism, smoking, and other addictions for over a year. The man who once threw parties and squandered his money now organizes meetings for the men's group at his church. His home has been restored, he has peace, his finances have changed, and his life is a testament to the power of God.
