Chains in the Clouds

Chains in the Clouds Verse 1 Where branches broke and stones were thrown, The earth would heal before the dawn, Green returned where wounds had been, As though no scar had ever lived. The forest breathed a living song, Where time itself felt somehow wrong, And deeper through the ancient wild, The four pressed on in silent awe. Chorus Chains in the clouds, Stone in the sky, Where the old world whispers, And reason dies. Chains in the clouds, Far below the sun, Calling the brave, Toward what waits below. Verse 2 An endless crater split the earth, Eighty meters to the mist, And there among the drifting clouds, Great stones moved slowly through the sky. Two by two with chains between, They drifted out and back again, Like ancient hearts that slowly beat, Beneath forgotten skies of old. Chorus Chains in the clouds, Stone in the sky, Where mountains wander, And rivers fly. Chains in the clouds, Far below the day, Where even the heavens, Seem to lose their way. Verse 3 Upon the carpet four would fly, Descending through the silver white, While birds of prey and wyverns soared, Through skies no mortal map had drawn. The fox leapt into storm and wing, While thunder rolled through mist and cloud, Yet deeper still the carpet fell, Toward secrets sleeping far below. Bridge Below the clouds another sky, Below the sky another world, And somewhere far beneath them all, An ancient temple waited still. Final Chorus Chains in the clouds, Stone in the sky, The farther they travelled, The smaller they felt. Chains in the clouds, Calling them below, Toward the place, Where legends grow. Outro Through cloud and stone... Still downward... Still onward...
