Under String Under Tension Leveling of Guitar Frets

Welcome to the Next Project.Today we are taking a crash-course in fret leveling with the neck under string tension…but with the strings pushed out of the way. 00:00 - intro 00:21 - back story 01:54 - step 1 set up 05:14 - step 2 the banana 06:50 - what if? 08:53 - quick crown 09:53 - spit shine n' tuna - take away I recent video had a few comments suggesting that I take a look at the work and processes of Sam Deeks. ‪@SamDeeksRelovedGuitars‬ Mr. Deeks does a lot of guitar repair and setup, has a lot of informational videos here on YT. Sam's Channel:    / @samdeeksrelovedguitars   How to use the Banana:   • How to use the Banana   I strongly urge you to check Sam’s channel if this sort of process is of interest to you. The "how to use the banana" is a great informational video, a bit long, but worth a couple cups of coffee. There are a few tools on the market that can help you with this basic process, yet each tool may have its own process and unique steps to achieve a desired outcome... go figure. Here are some links, check them out! Rectify Master Katana: https://rectifymaster.com/katana WudTone UTFL: https://www.wudtone.com/product/wudto... StewMac FretBar: https://www.stewmac.com (look for fret bar) Sam Deeks - Banana (truss rod): https://www.amazon.com (look for truss rod) Carbon Fiber 3mm x 6mm: https://www.amazon.com (look for carbon fiber rod) Invent something... I hope you enjoyed this learning curve project. I found it to be a big step forward, a great way to verify or improve basic flat fret leveling. I can see this being of high value when working on a guitar that has fretting issues, but doesn't need a full level... who knows where this may take us. I want to offer a huge thank you to both Sam Deeks, and to Randy, a good friend and subscriber to this channel. Thank you for pointing me toward Sam's video, I had missed seeing it. Be safe and take care!
