From personal will to divine will. Ordinarily our life is governed by countless personal intentions. I want this. I do not want that. This should happen. The mind continuously produces plans, preferences, fears and expectations, and this creates the sense of a separate doer carrying the burden of the entire universe. This verse invites us to examine that assumption. The same intelligence that moves the stars, grows the trees and beats the heart is already present within. So the attitude changes. Not into passivity or fatalism, but into alignment. This is not surrender to something outside. It is surrender to your own deepest nature. A flute does not create the music. It allows the music. Action continues, and may even become more effective, but it is no longer driven by anxiety. The mind no longer asks what do I want, but what is life asking of me now. This is Spanda Karika Verse 23.
