The Things We Dream About – My First Historic Rally

A few years ago I was watching videos from events like this, wishing I could experience them for myself. This weekend, I was invited by Tudor Watches to Rally For The Ages, an amazing event aimed to get younger people into the world of rallying and classic cars! The adventure started with a long drive across England in my 1968 Alfa Romeo GT Junior. After weeks of repairing and preparing the car, I honestly wasn't sure whether it would even make the journey. Thankfully, it did... and it might just be the best drive the Alfa has ever had. Over the weekend I learned the basics of historic rallying, drove several incredible vintage rally cars and competed in my very first regularity rally alongside motoring journalist Henry Catchpole in a 1971 Alfa Romeo GTV. How well did we do? You'll have to wait and see.
