S-360-12 (12V 30A) Cheap China PSU that works Differently! Schematic, Design Details

Well, I didn't planned to make this Video, but I had to make it after I saw how different the Starting and Auxiliary Voltage generation Circuitry is !! I bought this S-360-12 12V 30A PSU for very little money (15 Euro Shipped), just because it was so cheap and because I wanted to check the Insides and compare it with my fully Reverse Engineered HJS-480 300V 1.6A PSU. I didn't expected differences, BUT oh boy they are ! The whole Startup behavior and Auxiliary Voltage Generation is Different, other than that it's very similar ! Its uses an ancient complex startup Design from the late 90's early 00's that has no justification anymore today. Old low Power (230-300W) ATX Pc Power Supplies from that era where build like that. As I said in prior Videos, these PSU's are mostly OK, as long as you are aware where you can use these and what you can expect when paying just few bucks for a PSU that would cost normally several times the paid Price : Match your Expectations to what you Pay! It's a Classical TL494 Based Half-Bridge design with no Bells or Whistles, easy to repair and MOD.
