Sony Multi Interface Shoe: Problems/Solutions + How to use the flashes on a standard hot shoe
Sony Alpha at Amazon USA/UK - https://amzn.to/3qJgrE0 In 2012 Sony changed their hot shoe design from the Minolta i-ISO inverted design to what appeared to be a more standard hot shoe. Adding the contacts at the front which allows microphones/EVF's and possibly GPS units to be attached and powered via the shoe. However there are some issues with this design, and I discuss the drawbacks and work arounds. Also includes a guide to getting multi interface shoe flashes to work on standard hot shoes - without any modification to the shoe or hot shoe.
