Da Alba di Canazei ai rifugi Contrin e Passo San Nicolò

Beautiful excursion of 14.5 km in the heart of the Dolomites. Interesting itinerary within everyone's reach. First steep uphill section especially if you take the path, gentler if you follow the road. Once you arrive at the Baita Locia de Contrin you have a flat stretch and the valley opening up offers wonderful alpine views. From the Rifugio Contrin you can admire the beauty of the Marmolada while tasting some good dishes or sandwiches. Going up to the Rifugio Passo San Nicolò you will find yourself in front of a spectacular panorama: the Sella Group, the Pordoi Group and the Marmolada. ITINERARY From the parking lot of the Ciampac cable car square, take trail 602. At an altitude of 1736 m we find the Baita Locia de Contrin. Continue the path and shortly after you arrive at the Baita Cianci - 1847 m. Last stretch and we arrive at the Rifugio Contrin 2016 m where we can make a stop. Continuing on 608, you first arrive at Passo San Nicolò and then at the refuge of the same name - 2340 m. We return along the path 648 which will take us near Baita Cianci. From here you return along the way you were going.
