Cynthia Wenz was the troubled teen girl that many pregnancy resource centers encounter – raised in a dysfunctional family, promiscuous, using drugs, and searching for love in all the wrong places. Pregnant at 15, her mother paid for Cynthia’s abortion because “if your father finds out, he will kill you.” Cynthia had two more abortions in her later teens and twenties. After her third abortion, she was horrified to hear from a clinician that they probably hadn’t gotten everything. In the follow-up ultrasound, they discovered that Cynthia was carrying twins and the second baby was very much alive. That reality transformed Cynthia’s life forever.
