Scientists Say This Fault 45x Worse Than San Andreas Is Ready To Rupture...

What just happened in Venezuela is a warning. On June 24, 2026, a 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude doublet earthquake struck Venezuela just 39 seconds apart — collapsing buildings across Caracas, killing hundreds, and sending tsunami warnings to Puerto Rico. That was a 7.5. The fault hiding off America's West Coast is capable of a 9.0. And scientists say it is already overdue. Most Americans have heard of the San Andreas Fault. Very few have heard of the Cascadia Subduction Zone — a 700-mile fault sitting 70 to 100 miles off the coasts of California, Oregon, and Washington that is 45 times more powerful than anything the San Andreas can produce. It last ruptured in 1700. It sends earthquakes every 200 to 500 years on average. And a landmark 2025 study just revealed it can trigger the San Andreas at the same time — hitting Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco simultaneously. ⚠️ Sources: Oregon Department of Emergency Management, USGS National Seismic Hazard Model, Oregon State University / Chris Goldfinger 2025 study, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (2025 coastal subsidence study), 2022 Cascadia Rising federal planning exercise, Washington County Emergency Management. #earthquake #usbreakingnews #breakingnews #usnews #sanandreasfault
