UNIQUELY LANCASTER COUNTY-Fire Company MUD SALES-Strasburg Mud Sale 2024-AMISH LAND Fundraiser

Mud sales began in Lancaster County in 1965 at the Bart Township Fire Company. Members, many Amish, came up with the idea to hold an auction based fundraiser relying on donations and consigned items. Called mud sales because they were originally held when the ground was thawing in late winter and early spring , today dozens of mud sales are held in Lancaster County starting in the Spring and running through the Fall.
