On Thursday, April 9, the Regional President, accompanied by regional elected officials, the mayor of Lamentin, Jocelyn Sapotille, and the president of the CANBT and mayor of Sainte-Rose, Adrien Baron, visited the strategic site of the La Boucan bypass. This major project reflects the regional authority's commitment to the sustainable modernization of our road infrastructure for a smoother and safer Guadeloupe. 🔍 Why is this project a professional project? The Guadeloupe Region is investing to address four major challenges: ✅ Traffic Relief: Putting an end to the chronic traffic jams that paralyze North Basse-Terre. ✅ Seismic and Restructuring: Construction of a 210-meter-long viaduct (meeting seismic standards) spanning the Grande Rivière in Goyave to ensure traffic flow, even in the event of severe weather. ✅ Water Quality: Relieving congestion in the town to reduce noise and air pollution. ✅ Denominational objective: Optimize access to the Nolivier and Jaula areas to support employment and the region's attractiveness. 💡 What will happen next: 📏 A 4 km route. 🛣️ An initial delivery of two lanes, with land and a viaduct already designed to accommodate future expansion to a dual carriageway. #Development #Infrastructure #NorthBasseTerre #SainteRose #LaBoucan #LocalDevelopment #TogetherWeWillRive #ArchipelagoOfTheFuture #GuadeloupeRegion
