A clever solution to paper clutter│Building a Gravity Bar
This gravity-powered art display uses a clever hidden mechanism to hold paper goods with nothing but a handful of marbles. Designed by Brent Biglow of Biglow Woodcraft, I bought the plans to build this gravity bar as a gift to my sister who is always trying to stay on top of my niece's artwork habit. Plus, I wanted to test whether or not it's an achievable beginner woodworking project. This was my first time following woodworking plans, which meant I spent less time second-guessing my designs and more time second-guessing if I was reading the plans correctly. I also gained a new appreciation for just how much thought goes into a well-designed project. Whether you're a seasoned woodworker or a beginner looking for a challenge, follow along to watch the build process! If you want to tackle the project yourself, you can find the plans here: https://biglowwoodcraft.com/collectio... #woodworking #woodworkingforbeginners #beginnerwoodworking #diy #woodshop #finewoodworking Thank you so much for watching 🛠️ If you enjoyed this project, please consider liking this video and subscribing to the channel to help me make more content like this. It’s about inheriting his carpentry knowledge by building with his very tools, all while adding my own unique mark. This channel is built on authenticity, highlighting the real mistakes and frustrations of the learning process instead of hiding them. From home renovations to fine woodworking, join the genuine (often chaotic) journey of a beginner learning the trade! What is an axe-hole?: An "axe-hole" comes from one of my grandpa’s favorite sayings: “Any Axe-Hole Can Buy A New One” (AACBANO). This phrase has been passed down in my family for generations and it represents a belief in self-sufficiency, resourcefulness, and taking action. My grandpa’s version of the saying wasn’t quite so PG (let’s just say his wording was a little more colourful), but the meaning remains the same: in a world full of disposable, mass-produced items often designed to fail, why not fix things or build them yourself? Someone out there knows how — why can’t that someone be you? _________________________________________________________________________ Music & Sound Credits: Creative Commons, music by Ketsa.uk https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Ke... https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Ke... https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Ke... https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Ke... https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Ke... https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Ke... https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Ke... https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Ke... https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Ke...
