The BEST Boston Cream Pie Trifle – Creamy, Chocolatey & Easy Boston Cream Pie Trifle 1 box 15.25 ounces yellow cake mix 2 (3.4) ounce French vanilla pudding mix 4 cups cold milk 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips (I used mini) 1 cup heavy cream 1 tablespoon butter 1 tsp vanilla extract 1.25 cups thawed whipped topping 1. Bake the cake mix according to directions on box 2. Mix the pudding mixes with the cold milk and place in the refrigerator to it is completely cooled and set 3. Make the Ganache Heat the heavy cream in a sauce pan over medium heat until it simmers but not boils. Combine chocolate chips letting it sit for one minute until soften. Put in the4 vanilla extract and butter stir this mixture until it is smooth and glossy. Allow the ganache to cool slightly before using. 4. Cut the cakes into 4's. 5. Layer a single layer of cake at the bottom of the glass dish. 6. Spread 1/4 of the French vanilla pudding over the cake layer then add the ganache. Repeat times 4 7.
