Wista 45N – New Bellows = New Life
Fitting a new bellows to a Wista 45N metal 4x5 field camera gives it a whole new life! I mention in the video that the new bellows cost about the same as the camera. I mis-spoke: the camera was particularly cheap at AUD$255 including tax and shipping (it was sold as parts and looked pretty sad) but the new bellows was AUD$138 including tax and shipping, only about half the cost of the camera. That makes the total of the repaired camera to be just under AUD$400 which is very good value for a quality 4x5 large format camera. Cameras in similar conditions come up quite often, though not always cheap, so keep your eye out. You want something that has a particularly bad looking bellows (which turns people off from buying) but is otherwise complete and undamaged.
