sonayou - femme fatale (demo)

Hey everyone!! I got this ongoing thing where i always end up liking the demo of a song i make better than the final version i release & i get this wave of sadness listening to the demos because they're forced to stay locked up in the basement. THEREFORE ive decided to set a bunch of the demos from chaos revival free so we can enjoy them together! Starting off with femme...i always say my demos have crack in them and this one is very high on the crack list to me. I think there's so many great vocal elements in here, i really love the "ill keep you up at night" and also just the way the chorus is sung. Since this was version 1, everything was still very raw and unpolished which is the key contributor to the crack-ness i believe. When i start recording my final versions i have this demo i have to follow vs when recording the demo i can still freely add or sing anything i want since there's no blueprint yet causing it to sound more natural and creative to me... I have the tendency to overpolish my final versions and sometimes you do things in a demo vocally that are literally impossible to recreate. I do really love the final version of femme, it has some new elements this demo doesn't have that now feel essential, but the vibe of this demo just opens a different world to me!
