It may be required in case of a defect or issue or for an upgrade. To remove the injectors it is first necessary to unfasten the engine harness from its stays, unplug the injectors from the harness, and unfasten the fuel rail from its spacers. The injector seats must be removed from the plenum or manifold. The process is very similar for the 1zz-fe and the 2zz-fe.
