New Views & A Mysterious Female Visitor! - U.S. Steel Nest of Stella & Irvin (10/14-10/21)

Lots going on at the U.S. Steel nest! For starters, thanks to Don German and his crew, we gratefully have some fabulous new views. We appreciate the hard work and dedication that the U.S. Steel crew shows to our beloved eagles, and we thank them endlessly for sharing this with us. It's no secret that I have a very special love for this nest, its eagles, and the absolutely fabulous humans that make this possible. But the human appearance at the nest wasn't the only invasion... Stella & Irvin had a female eagle guest drop in yesterday - and she quickly made herself right at home. Irvin didn't seem very fond of this lovely lady - and he made sure to get audible about it, seeming to call for Stella when the pushy new gal got a bit too intrusive. But Stella wasn't on site for quite some time. In fact, by late last night, it appeared that the nomadic lady had opted to call the nest her resting spot for the evening. **Update... This morning, Stella made her triumphant return, escorting the visiting female across the river.
