Livin' on a Prayer (No Fade Out Mix)

If there's one song by Bon Jovi that people would recognize, it's "Livin' on a Prayer" from their 1986 album, Slippery When Wet. Some could even argue that this is their best song. It describes these two people living in a hard time not so long ago, Tommy and Gina. They're not doing so well, especially considering that Tommy just lost his job. Despite this, the two continue to try to make things work, using their love and ambition to get through life. It's a story that I'm sure most of us can relate to. Funnily enough, there's a couple versions of this song floating about. DualDisc extends the song a bit and adds a talk box solo to fade out on. The original studio ending has the talk box sort of scat as the guitars and drums have a victory lap. Both Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band 2 use the studio tracks, though Rock Band opted to edit out the victory lap and just cut to the talk box giving one last "Woah". For some reason, the Rock Band version is the one that I keep finding whenever I went searching for the full song with the hopes of hearing the full thing, and I honestly prefer this version with the victory lap before the final "Woah". Although the original ending could be heard in Guitar Hero: World Tour, that version has a count in from the drums, hence why I edited that part out with the magic of splicing and the studio album intro to create this version. #BonJovi #LivinOnAPrayer #NoFadeOut #ShatterGlass
