The Prophet's Mosque is one of the most sacred mosques in Islam and the second holiest after the Grand Mosque. It was built by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in 622 CE after his migration to Medina. Initially, the building was very simple, but it played a significant role as a center of worship, education, governance, and the development of the Muslim community. Over time, the Prophet's Mosque underwent various expansions, becoming one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in the world. The Prophet's Mosque holds a special significance. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that one prayer in the Prophet's Mosque is better than a thousand prayers in any other mosque, except the Grand Mosque. It also contains the Raudhah, an area considered one of the gardens of Paradise. Furthermore, the mosque complex is the final resting place of the Prophet (peace be upon him) along with Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Umar ibn al-Khattab, making it a prime destination for millions of Muslims who visit Medina each year.
