I did research with my Pr.Dominic Rohner who then became my supervisor. Then, I took every opportunity to connect with the professors and the department: Students representative, working on the promotion of the master, joining committee to hire new professors. So by the time I applied, I knew well everyone in the department. I had a peculiar strategy because I wanted to apply only at the University of Lausanne for professional and personal reasons, so I gave it all. Of course aside from that, I also worked hard, got a perfect score at the GRE math part, GPA 5.8, an academic master thesis (it then became my first chapter of the thesis).
