I am delighted to share the full video of the Himachali folk song 'Chamba Kitni Duur'. The song echoes the sentiments of a Himachali girl. She longs for her beloved who lives in the faraway town of Chamba. She asks how far Chamba is from Shimla and is determined to go to her Maahi's 'vatan' (her lover's land). The pristine beauty of Himachal Pradesh touched a chord in my heart. Himachal is blessed with Nature’s bounty. The gushing Beas river, the lush green forest cover and the snow-clad Himalayas are breathtaking. I feel there's so much to explore in my Bharat than the over-hyped, expensive foreign destinations. Our lands are laced with culture, tradition and spirituality. The people of Himachal are simple and pure-hearted. Just like the pure waters that melt down from the ‘him’ at the ‘ugam’(source). I wanted to share my beautiful moments of Himachal Pradesh with all of you, hence this video. It is heart-wrenching to see the flood situation now.
