Gertrud Runge (soprano) - Je veux vivre (in German) ('Romeo et Juliette' - Gounod) (1908)

Gertrud Runge, with the Band of the 73rd Prussian Fusiliers conducted by H. Gebhardt, sings the Waltz Song from Gounod's 'Romeo et Juliette,' recorded in Berlin in 1908. Runge (1880-1948) was a German soprano. Having made her debut in 1902, she was a member of the Hoftheater in Weimar from 1903 until 1913, the Hoftheater in Mannheim from 1913 to 1918 and later the Berlin Volksoper.
