Amsterdammers reageren op verkiezingsuitslag

Amsterdam residents could cast their ballots yesterday at over 400 polling stations across the city for the national elections. Today we await the results. Reactions to the elections from those who boarded the ferry this morning were mixed. One person called the result disappointing, another was pleased that the PVV is smaller than two years ago. Yet another voted for the VVD because he was afraid Frans Timmermans would join the cabinet. "I think it's a shame that the Netherlands has become so right-wing," said the disappointed man. Someone else said: "It's much better than two years ago, but yes, there are just a lot of right-wing voices." Perhaps not everyone is aware that the PVV could still become the largest party. According to the initial exit polls, the party appeared to have three seats fewer than D66, but according to the latest counts, the parties are tied (both with 26 seats). The difference between the two is said to be around 1,000 votes. ❌ ❌ ❌ AT5 - Real Amsterdam News Subscribe to our YouTube channel here:    / at5   Tips or comments?
