Language Barriers- Not for us

As one of the most linguistically diverse communities in the Kansas City region, Wyandotte County is home to residents who speak dozens of languages. Language access is a key part of patient care, with certified interpreters available 24/7 through in-person, video and phone services that support more than 350 languages, including Spanish, ASL, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Somali, Russian and many others. The focus of this show is how the health system is meeting the communication needs of an increasingly diverse patient population by ensuring every patient can clearly understand their care, regardless of the language they speak.
