Swiftwater rescuers must complete a rigorous training course in order to be fully prepared to rescue individuals who have fallen victim to fast-moving water. The Swiftwater Safety Institute teaches rescue agencies and river guides the skills they need to save the lives of people caught in deadly currents. We traveled to Moab, Utah where the Swiftwater Safety Institute conducted a 3-day training course on the Colorado River.
