Luigi's Mansion 3! - We're testing the latest installment of Luigi's adventures on the Nintendo Switch. Luigi's Mansion 3 is an adventure-arcade game developed by Nintendo. The game is the third installment in the series that began in 2001. Although at first glance the story told in Luigi's Mansion 3 sounds quite serious, it's filled with humor and has little in common with horror films. The game's main character is the titular Luigi. The protagonist arrives at a luxurious hotel with his famous brother, Mario, Princess Peach, and the little Toads, where they plan to spend their vacation. However, things soon spin out of control – his companions disappear without a trace, and the place turns out to be haunted by ghosts. The terrified hero must find the courage to face the ubiquitous apparitions and find his loved ones. Luigi's Mansion 3 is divided into levels corresponding to the hotel's floors; Each of them has its own theme, reflected not only in the appearance of the furniture and decorations, but also in the enemies we encounter along the way. As we traverse these levels, we discover various secrets, solve ingenious puzzles, avoid ubiquitous traps, and dispatch enemies. Luigi's primary tool against ghosts is a flashlight, whose light briefly stuns them. A defenseless ghost can be sucked up with a special vacuum cleaner called the Poltergust G-00. This weapon also allows you to slam captured enemies against walls, floors, and other ghosts; suck in environmental objects to move, destroy, or shoot them like projectiles; and also perform area-of-effect attacks. Furthermore, the game features Gooigi, a clone of Luigi made of green goo, which you can take control of at any time. He can squeeze through narrow gaps or traverse spikes protruding from the ground, and his assistance is essential for solving selected puzzles. Be careful, though, as Gooigi melts upon contact with water. Luigi's Mansion 3 allows you to play solo or with other players. When only one console is available, a second player can take control of Gooigi at any time. Furthermore, the Scarescraper mode, designed for up to eight players, invites you to explore procedurally generated floors of a building, completing various tasks, such as capturing a set number of ghosts or rescuing kidnapped Toads. Complicating matters is the limited time available to complete them. Luigi's Mansion 3 features three-dimensional graphics with a cartoonish style, and the gameplay is accompanied by an atmospheric, catchy soundtrack.
