Welcome back to One Last Hand. This is a complete story playthrough of ISS Vanguard, an epic sci-fi narrative campaign board game. In Episode 18, we take a detour from the main story to explore the planet "Cousin." What starts as a seemingly peaceful world filled with sloth-like "recliners" quickly turns into a battle for survival. After a disastrous landing that leaves the crew injured and without their gear, we have to navigate a world where the gravity is failing and a crystalline threat is emerging from the lake. We investigate the mysterious sacrificial rituals of the local species, deal with a scintillating shardfly, and finally uncover a new "Steely" that provides a massive breakthrough for Project Birthright.
