Thank you for your support!   / rollexx_tv   In this video, I'll show you step-by-step how to replace the counter-pressure spring (CPF) on a scooter. First, we'll disassemble the entire CVT drive unit up to the torque converter. Then, I'll replace the original Piaggio counter-pressure spring with the stiffer, red Malossi counter-pressure spring. The stiffer spring can help keep the drive belt tensioned better during acceleration and ensure the torque converter operates smoothly. This can have a positive effect on acceleration and power delivery, especially with tuned engines or modified CVT setups. Since a stiffer CPF acts like lighter CVT weights, the CVT weights need to be slightly heavier than before the modification! Of course, I'll also show you footage of the scooter before and after the modification so you can see the difference for yourself. This repair/modification can also be applied to many other Piaggio and Minarelli scooters with a comparable CVT transmission.
