Morning has Broken - Anglo concertina and Melodeon
This is a traditional Scottish folk tune (possibly Irish, originally) commonly associated with the hymn 'Morning has Broken' by Eleanor Farjeon (1931), and a particular favorite of mine. I'm trying to overcome my hesitations and just record more, despite being plagued by annoying imperfections. One thing I learned in the course of splicing these videos together is that I phrase things differently on the two squeezeboxes: it seems my melodeon playing is more influenced by Cat Stevens' version (though it's quite hard to replicate his style on a diatonic instrument). Weird!
