Reading VAG EDC17C46 on bench using Ktag
How to open and read a EDC17C46, in this case it was from a AUDI A3 8PA 2000cc 16v TDi(CR) of 140hp. There are several protocols for this ECU, some have Tprot some dont. Make sure you select the correct one. Ktag takes quite some time to ID the ECU but its normal so be patient! Same procedure applies for KESS, just that you must read as BACKUP to get full info otherwise is just maps (like a OBD read). Hope this is usefull and dont forget to Subscribe.
