My Daughter Chathurya's Half Saree Ceremony

Generally, నూతన వస్త్రాలు (లంగా వోణీలు ) పాప మేనమామలు 11వ సంవత్సరంలో గాని 13వ సంవత్సరంలో గాని ఇస్తారు. అది ఒక వేడుకగా జరిపించడం ముఖ్యంగా సౌత్ ఇండియాలో సాంప్రదాయకంగా జరుగుతుంది. A half saree function is celebrated when the girl’s age is 11 years or 13 years and note that it is not a puberty ceremony. The priest performs the prayer /pooja. The girl’s uncle (mother’s own brothers ) will give the first half saree to the girl and then followed by the parents . Similar way for the boys and it’s called Dhoti Ceremony. This Ceremony you find it only or popular in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana 😊
