House of Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle laid down the law Wednesday when he addressed rumours that the Labour government would look to unveil its long-awaited Defence Investment Plan on Friday, when the House of Commons would not be convening. Hoyle said that if such rumours would come to pass it would be an utter disgrace and a kick in the face to all members of the House that have waited for the plan. Labour Defence Minister Luke Pollard was grilled further by the Shadow Defence Minister James Cartlidge, and said the Defence Investment Plan would be unveiled in a few weeks time, seemingly dispelling the rumours.
