The Murder Capital on mental illness, debut album and existential fear

After a friend of the band took his own life, the band decided for The Murder Capital to be their name. It is a reaction to the problems in mental health they see in Ireland's society. Like fellow bands Shame, IDLES and Fontaines D.C. the band craftfully combines their vision on society's issues with loud but thoughtful post-punk. On the 16th of august, the band will release their debut album 'When I Have Fears'. This album is named after a poem by John Keats and deals with the existential fears of the band. We talked to James (vocals) and Damien (guitar) about this record, how the band came together and what you can do as a band to tackle existential fear and the issues of society. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 3voor12 Radio met Eva Koreman brengt je de allernieuwste muzikale trends, alternative tracks en de actualiteit van vandaag én morgen.
