Our latest work, Us Folk, is a joyful and exhilarating fusion of world-class dance and powerful modern folk music. Featuring dancers, musicians, and poets, Richard Chappell blends contemporary dance, ballet and improvisation into an expressive and uplifting performance. The work is set to a richly layered soundtrack by folk musicians Ben Moss, Maz McNamara and electronic music duo Larch -featuring samples from the internationally acclaimed Treorchy Male Voice Choir, known for collaborations with artists including Tom Jones, Andrea Bocelli, and Shirley Bassey. Reimagining folk culture’s traditions for a more inclusive present, Us Folk is rooted in nature and community and celebrates the power of social dancing to reconnect us with one another and the world around us. At Sterts Arts Centre on 10 June and Exeter Northcott on 16 June.
