Kailasagiri is a famous cave temple located on the hill near Kiwara, Chintamani. There are three shrines in Kailasagiri dedicated to Lord Shiva (four faced), Goddess Parvathi and Lord Ganesha. Its a good half day destination at just 80kms from Bangalore. View from here is awesome and cold breeze on top will revitalize your soul. Post parking a 500 mts of stone paved road walk will take you to the entrance of Kailasagiri Hills. There is a big natural hall which is in fact cold inside and not a hot boiler unlike other caves. Here free lunch meal (prashadam) is provided maybe till 15:30. The place is well maintained so please don't pollute it. There was no entry fee and car parking was INR 20.
