Jeep XJ (KJ & WJ) Ignition Switch, Actuator & Key Lock Cylinder, How to Replace, Super Detailed

This is a follow up to my last video where I diagnosed my no dash light, no crank, no start situation in my 2001 Jeep XJ Cherokee. It was caused by a broken ignition actuator and ignition switch. Here I show how I replaced them in explicit detail. The procedure applies to Jeep Cherokee XJ 1997-2001, Jeep Liberty KJ 2002-2007, and Jeep Grand Cherokee 2nd Gen WJ 1999-2004. That is based on all those vehicles taking the Dorman Ignition Actuator 924-704. But, the Ignition Switch is NOT the same for the KJ and WJ. Just look up your model and year and get the right part. I think the procedure is the same but the electrical pins/connector slots on the Ignition Switch just aren’t identical.
