[4K] Legends of the Wild West, join us for a virtual tour of Fort Comstock at the entrance to Frontierland and immerse in the history of the town of Thunder Mesa with the Wild West legends. Legends of the Wild West is a walkthrough attraction located in Frontierland in Disneyland Paris. It opened on the 30th May 1993, and features characters from the American Far-West and a famous Legends from that era. The Frontierland walkthrough takes place in a Civil War-inspired fort, known as Fort Comstock, located at the entrance of Thunder Mesa, the name of Frontierland town. Guests first make their way to up the steps for a fantastic view over Frontierland and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad There are a number of scenes through the Legends of the Wild West walkthrough that guests can look into via windows or door these include The Forty-Niner - Eureka Gold was discovered in California and the historic Gold Rush of 1849 began The Outlaw - Waiting for a Jailbreak, In search of easy money and big reputations, outlaws usually end up with a run in with the local Sheriff. The Lawman - Three Down and Six to Go! In wild frontier towns, justice was dispensed with the blaze of a gun, the job of the lawman went to the man with the quickest gun The Frontiersman - King of the Wild Frontier The west would still be wild if not for those who blazed trails through America's wilderness in the early 1800s, courageous hero's such as Davy Crockett The Showman - Heading East with a Wild West Show Nobody did more to promote the romance and excitement of the west than Buffalo Bill Cody and his spectacle of roping, trick riding, Indian attacks and Cavalry charges. The Legends of the Wild West originally included a walkthrough of an area featuring Indian Tepees. The area has since closed but is still standing and visible from the attraction. There are no restrictions to walkthrough Legends of the Wild West although there are steps to climb which may be unsuitable for guests with restricted mobility, however there is still plenty to see at ground level. Disneyland Paris is an entertainment resort in Chessy, France, 32 km (20 miles) east of Paris. It consists of two theme parks, 6 Disney Resort hotels, Disney Nature Resorts, a shopping, dining and entertainment complex and a golf course. Disneyland Park was the first park to open on the 12th April 1992 as Euro Disneyland with the resort known as Euro Disney Resort. A second theme park, the Walt Disney Studios Park, opened in 2002. Disneyland Paris has gone through a number of name changes since opening as Euro Disney Resort. On the 1st June 1994 the name changed to Euro Disneyland Paris before dropping the Euro part a few months later on the 1st October 1994. Between 16th March 2002 and 3rd April 2009 the resort was known as the Disneyland Resort Paris before changing back to just Disneyland Paris again.
