Various of performers on boats STORYLINE: Thousands of spectators lined Amsterdam's historic canals to celebrate Canal Parade, one of Europe’s most colorful pride events. Water jet dancers in Renaissance wear doing flips above the water and drag queens performing on top of boats - these were only some of the sights that the festival goers were lucky to see. On both banks of the canal, spectator boats brimmed with attendees dressed in every colour of the rainbow cheering the parade on. At least 80 brightly decorated boats were expected to participate, with passengers singing, dancing and waving.
