Infarto en la Retina | Oclusión de la vena central de la retina | Retina Center

The retina receives oxygen and nutrients from the blood coming from the arteries. Once oxygen is released into the retina, blood returns to the heart through the veins. When one of these arteries or veins becomes blocked, it is known as a retinal artery occlusion or retinal vein occlusion. When there is a retinal vein occlusion, the blood cannot drain back to the heart, leading to hemorrhage (bleeding) and fluid leakage between the retina, causing blurred vision that worsens over time or days in the affected eye. A retinal vein occlusion is similar, though less severe, to a stroke. If not treated immediately, it can leave severe vision problems. #CentralRetinalVeinOcclusion #RetinalVeinOcclusion #CentralRetinalArteryOcclusion #centralRetinalArteryOcclusion
