This is the first part of a vlog about the Hagi Pottery Festival, a major event held in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture during Golden Week in 2026, and a stroll through the beautiful castle town that retains the atmosphere of the Edo period. My biggest mission on this trip to Hagi was to get the best matcha tea bowls for my mother and myself! Therefore, at this Hagi Pottery Festival, I seriously and thoroughly searched for matcha tea bowls. I successfully obtained my favorite matcha tea bowls! Please check out the video to see which matcha tea bowls I chose. In the second half, with my favorite bowls in hand, I explored the castle town full of historical romance. From the birthplace of Takasugi Shinsaku, to the beautiful white walls of "Kikuya Yokocho," which produced a Prime Minister, and the alleys lined with abundant summer oranges, it felt like I had traveled back in time to the Edo period.
